2. Submissions should be accompanied by a cover letter containing information about articles’ authors (co-authors) – full names, academic degrees, academic titles, places of work or studies, job titles, home and work addresses and telephones – and summaries (abstracts) of the content in Russian and in English. Abstract should reflect the main content of the article, follow the logic of describing the results in the article. The size of the abstract is 150-250 words. Key words should characterize the problems described in the article (4-6 words). Post-graduate students and adjuncts should submit references of their research supervisors.
3. All articles are reviewed in a double-blind way. The first step in the editing process is simply reading the article. The editors do this as a first check to make sure the article is of sufficient quality. At this point, the editors will also check to make sure the author adhered to the citation guidelines in the article. If the article passes this stage, it is sent it to a referee to review based on academic level and content.
4. In one month after submission authors are recommended to contact the editorial office (personally, by phone, or by e-mail) to find out whether articles have been accepted for publication.
Articles returned to authors for revision should be re-submitted before the recommended deadline. In the accompanying letter the authors should notify the editors about all the changes made. All corrections are introduced directly into the text.
Once the article is selected for publication, it will be edited and returned to the author for approval. Authors have the opportunity to review proofs before publication, but the proofs should be checked immediately, signed and returned to the editorial office with all necessary corrections. If authors have no corrections or fail to return their articles before the mutually-agreed upon deadline, the editors’ version will be published.
5. If articles have already been published or submitted for publication elsewhere, authors must notify the editors. Articles published or accepted for publication in other journals are not allowed for publication in UNIVERSUM JURIS. Submissions that do not comply with these criteria are not considered for publication. The editors also reserve the right to edit contributions.
6. If the article is recommended for publication the author sends agreement on alienation of the exclusive rights to the article. The conclusion of this agreement is a prerequisite for the publication of article in the journal. Authors’ fees for published articles are not paid. Articles are published free of charge.
